I was actually just talking to a good friend about his iPhone and explained that I had just seen some news that the
Verizon iPhone launch doesn't look too far away. Nikki and my contract was up and we could either take $250 credit per person and get new phones on Sprint or jump to another carrier. We previously had the Samsung Instinct which I found to be way to buggy and slow, I didn't like the Instinct at all. Then I read some more news that said the Verizon iPhone is being pushed to late Q3 2010+ so I couldn't wait any longer or i'd risk smashing the Samsung Instinct to a billion pieces. We decided to pick up the HTC Hero Android (Sprint) and so far I love it! It has tons of features like full touchscreen, GPS, bluetooth, Wifi, fast PROC, 5MP camera and a TON of apps that I can download for free. I'm glad we made the impulse buy cause it's always fun to have more toys.
After Top Gear aired on Sunday, an excellent documentary hosted by James May called James May on the Moon aired. It was about the 40th anniversary of the Apollo moon landings.

I stumbled across this magazine article and DIY plans on how to build a retro arcade system (5 pages of plans included!). This would be a blast to build in preparation for Gran Turismo 5 or your favorite racing game. Click on the thumbnails for a bigger picture.
Magazine Article:
If you’re a “computer guy” I’m sure you get calls from friends and family asking to help troubleshoot computer problems all the time. Personally I find it very hard to troubleshoot problems over the phone without looking at the console. Walking users through setting up RDP/VNC, port forwarding is even harder. I have been using this support technique for some time with my friends and family and it works perfectly. I decided to write a quick howto article to describe the steps.
